Here is a quick Q & A that should answer most (if not all) of your questions.

How do I buy beats?

Simple. After listening to the beats, just select the beats you want by clicking the  tab next to the price. When you’re finished selecting the beats you want, click the “checkout’ button. After you click the “checkout” button, you’ll be  redirected to Paypal for payment. After you’re payment has been completed,  you’ll receive an email containing links to the music you’ve purchased .

Please note:

1. The email will automatically be sent to the email address associated with the payment.
2. The vocal tag will be removed from the beat.
3. Sometimes your purchase email may occasionally end up in your spam/junk folder, so please check your spam folder before contacting regarding your links.

If for whatever reason you paid  for some beats through the cart and didn’t receive your purchase (no system is perfect) and you checked your spam folder, no need to worry, click here or to send me an email @ sftraxx[at]gmail.com and I’ll try my best to get your purchase out to you asap!

What is SFTraxx.com?

SFTraxx.com is San Francisco Rap Producer “Traxx”‘s  website. Singers, rappers, and songwriters can preview/listen to beats arranged by Traxx in their desired genre, purchase and download them, and then record their vocals over them to make hit songs. Graphic Design services are also available.

If I buy/license a beat  from this website what can I use it for?

Limited License (Lease/Non-Exclusive (lease and premium) ) grants the Buyer the right:

• To make one (1) derivative work with the music (example: making a demo record by adding vocals)

•   To make one (1) commercial use of the derivative work for profit, or for non-profit (example: sell the derivative song on CD, online, mixtape, etc.)

• To distribute, perform the derivative work

Limited License requires:

•  That the Buyer makes a derivative work before distributing, performing, or selling the song

•  That the Buyer credits the Producer for the composition

Limited License prohibits the Buyer from:

•  Selling the music in it’s original form without a derivative work being made (BUYER CANNOT RESELL OR LICENSE THE MUSIC/BEAT/COMPOSITION AS IS)

• Claiming ownership of the musical composition. Ownership and Copyright is retained by that of the producer or agency of legal right.

Exclusive License (Exclusive purchase) grants the Buyer the right:

•   Unlimited commercial use of the derivative work for profit, or for non-profit (example: sell the derivative song on CD, online, mixtape, etc.)

• To distribute, perform the derivative work

Exclusive License requires:

What does Royalty free mean?

• Music which is sold without any ongoing royalty obligations. The copyright is owned in its entirety, by the seller. Royalty Free is not the same as copyright free. In the case of royalty free, the selling entity or entities retain the copyright interest. The tracks / beats available here are royalty free. Unless stated as “sample based”.

When I get the beat, is it full length?

• Yes. The linked files are the full beats without and vocal tags typically over 3 minutes in length. You will also have 48hrs to download your files in case you cant download them right away.

What is a non exclusive/Lease beat?

• Non Exclusive (or commonly referred to as a ‘Lease”) simply means that a producer can sell/license his beat to more than one person.

Do I own the track after I buy it?

• No, you do not own the track. All non Exclusive and Non exclusive beats are LICENSED not SOLD. You are licensing the rights to use it. By downloading the track, you are bound to the terms and conditions of Exclusive/Non Exclusive use.

What is your return policy?

• Since we are offering digital products, there is no returns on purchases. If for some reason you cannot get our links to download your music, we will gladly help you in any way to make your purchase complete.

What format do the beats come in?

• All the beats on our site are direct downloads sampled at 160k or higher MP3 format. Exclusive beats are delivered in wav (upon request) which are compatible with most major software programs.

I downloaded a beat but it’s only a few seconds long what happened?

• Empty your cache (temp internet folder) and/or reboot and download it again… delete the first one first then re-download. It’s a problem with the ISP you use, they time out and so it thinks you’ve got the entire file. Also, try using the windows media player, not a 3rd party player like winamp.

Do these beats use samples or contain any copyrighted material?

• Most of our beats are 100% original, and 100% sample free. However, some clients wish to use samples for custom production and they will be responsible for clearing any and all samples used with respective copyright owners. Please contact us about any beat/loop/track in question.

Do I have to worry about clearing samples?

• Yes, while most of our beats do not contain any copyrighted sample material so you don’t need to worry about it, in some cases samples are requested by people wanting custom production work. They may need permission to duplicate in a commercial environment. Beats containing “samples” typically have “sample based” listed in the “Genre” section. Please contact us about any beat/loop/track in question.

Do the beats or beat I buy get removed from the site?

• No, we do not remove non exclusive or exclusive beats from the site.  We reserve the right to distribute and display any beat arranged by SF Traxx on any medium.

Can I extend/shorten any of these beats?

• Of course, you can customize the beats however you like. If you are unable to do it yourself, SFTraxx.com will rearrange it shorter or longer if you like for a nominal fee. We can re-mix tracks for as low as $40.00.

Who makes these beats?

• All tracks, beats, sounds, melodies and loops are tracked out by Traxx. Nothing but the best in professional audio production equipment is used.

How can I get a custom beat?

• Just send Traxx an email via the contact page. You’ll receive a reply back with information. Custom production is only for exclusive rights.
